For thousands of years, Indigenous peoples have promoted biological and cultural diversity with the knowledge they have developed from the past. Indigenous knowledge has been used to advance classification, technology, and research in museum collections. In this session, personal experiences of Indigenous people are presented to encourage more collaboration with those in natural history museums to understand Indigenous knowledge, so that museums and Indigenous people can have a future of joint cooperation.
