The Global Biodiversity Information Facility (GBIF) and Catalogue of Life (COL) are now ready to take the next step in launching a more comprehensive COL Checklist that can serve as a core taxonomic data service in organising species occurrences mediated through GBIF. This session highlights the current combined efforts of GBIF and COL, and presents perspectives of data custodians on infrastructure developments for end users.
